70 YEAR OLD TATAMAGOUCHE MAN CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING 
RCMP held traffic checkpoint Thursday

RCMP have charged a 70 year old Tatamagouche man with impaired driving during a traffic checkpoint.
 
RCMP Northern Traffic Services teamed up with MADD Canada for the checkpoint Thursday in Tatamagouche, where police also issued two tickets for failing to wear a seatbelt, a charge for driving without a licence and numerous warnings.
 
Police are also reminding drivers that all children under 9 years old who weigh at least 40 pounds and are under 4'9" tall must be secured in a child restraint system.
